One of the advantages of having a top-of-the-range race track such as Scalextric and SCX tracks is that it is possible not only to make repairs in case of failure but also to improve the performance of your cars with parts available separately. This motor is designed to provide a rotation of 18,000 rotations per minute, a 50% improvement over the basic motor that powers Scalextric cars. The pinion is pre-installed on the axis. A soldering iron is required for the installation.
