Description

The Pontiac Firebird is a sports coupe produced between 1967 and 2002 in four separate generations. It can easily be confused with its twin, the Chevrolet Camaro from which the Firebird is directly derived. Their chassis is of the "F-Body" type and certain parts are interchangeable between the models of the two brands.

The beginnings of the Firebird date back to 1954, when General Motors developed the "Dream Car" GMC XP-21 Firebird I strongly inspired by the jet aviation then in full swing. Kind of a small plane on wheels, there is nothing in common with the production car of 1967. Same thing for the Firebird II concept of 1956, although more civilized.
