The Estes Alpha III Launch Kit is an exciting, radically designed and easy to build high altitude rocket launch kit. The rocket kit includes a brightly colored one-piece body tube, a set of molded plastic fins, and a bullet-shaped nose cone. Simply glue a few rocket pieces together, apply the colorful stickers and in less than an hour, you'll be ready for the launch pad! The Alpha III rocket is 12 inches high. With its custom three-fin design, it climbs to an out-of-sight altitude of over 1,100 feet. A brightly colored 12-inch parachute brings this rocket back to the launch site. You will be ready in an hour for another extreme launch experience! THE LAUNCH SYSTEM includes the Estes Porta-Pad II launch pad and the Electron Beam wired remote control. Materials Required: Scissors, fine sandpaper, carpenter's glue, plastic cement, and masking tape. (Tools, construction and finishing supplies not included.)

Sold separately: Estes miniature rocket motors, starters and reclaimed cotton wool. Four high quality 1.5V AA alkaline batteries are also required for the launch controller (not included). The Alpha III rocket is compatible with the following Estes engines: 1 / 2A6, A8-3, A8-5, B4-4, B6-4, C6-5, C6-7.
